These are some cocker puppies by one of my dogs. I did this quite awhile ago but just finished it. Two boys, one girl--the girl was full of moxie--guess which one http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif! Graphite, 11x14 plate-finish bristol.

Hi Shirl, You are good with those Cockers. They look so cute. They are not an easy breed to dipict with all those waves in their hair. I did one in Watercolor last year. He was a dark, almost black one. Here is the link if you are interested. Cocker (http://www.gethagraphics.com/hoover.htm) The client has another she wants me to do which she says is a solid black. The black will present a challenge for sure. I am waiting for her to get the photos to me. Yours are very nice.

Hi Pat,

Thank you for your comments. I find the "buff" (blonde) cockers to be the most difficult because they lack the wonderful highlights of the blacks. I went to your site and "Hoover" (cayoot name)is wonderful! I've done quite a few black/black&tan cockers for people, but just graphite. You have a great site, I enjoyed seeing your horse paintings also. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

This is just too adorable! Your expressions on those pups is priceless! Now we know why so many cockers exist! Are there any cuter puppies?

Thank you Wendee, Barbara and Tammy.

I don't think there's any cuter puppy than a cocker puppy. I used to have 1-2 litters a year. Haven't done that for about 10 years and I really miss them.

Tammy! It's the little twit in the middle http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif. My boys were so sweet and the girls all seem to be the roudy ones.

I really liked how you have captured the expressions on the puppies faces. I also like how you have done the texture on the puppies ears. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif
