hey milt...

i've noticed that there should be some sort of picture next to your omnipitent title to the left of your posts, but mine has A BIG X RIGHT through it.

why?

also, is it me? or did your title change like 4 times within the last couple days? (it might be me)
where can i get more info on this star business.... one day i had 2, theni had just one, now two again? or am i losing it?
*sigh*

using my head as my palette,

Hi, the missing stuff in milt's stars is some sort of start (it is called start.gif). Really curious what it is (a big star perhaps, or a different kind of start... Scott you need to fix this!).

I have also noted that the count is off in some of the threads. Maybe there is some caching scheme going on; if a topic is not posted to the count remains at what it was at the last post to it. If not; then our caches would be invalidated on every post, and that would be bad.

You can see the correct current count if you got to the members list. The count is also correct on your "next post".

Hope that helps.

Gang, keep in mind that the pages in the forums are not dynamically generated. In a nutshell, it means that the stars and info is current as of the last post in that forum.

Cheers.
Scott

Scott!
I was looking forward to being "Imortalized", and now you have removed my only chance of ever being imortalized http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/crying.gif Am I to become a "Wet Canvas Minion" (like you) in 40 posts or so? Sounds like "Filé Mignot" http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif - now you made me hungry too...

Wow Bruin,
Guess you better make that Icon of yours even more golden, let it glow my son glow.

Oh Gis , did you have trouble pointing that tongue, I see you edited three times.

Hey heres a tip, each time you edit erase the last "this has been edited by" message, that way you only get one regardless how many times you mess up.

Okay Scott...minion in my dictionary says
1. a servile favorite or follower: term of contempt 2. A size of type, about 7 point or
3.A saucy girl or woman; minx...

Veteran...an ex soldier; one who has been in active service; old in service; or just 'old'

and Lord of the Arts...is that like Lord of the Flies? only different?

Trying to ascertain the level to which I would want to aspire...carly

Scott - now that you changed the labels - how many posts are required now to be Imortalized?

oleCC

think I'm goin to fight for stars and lose the status of "junior" ? Not at my age !!!
If being a "senior" was attibuted to age, I
would have more stars than Bruin .... hey Scott....doesn't age have its privleges here?

Yeah, yeah it does. You can call us all young whippersnappers... tell us stories about how "When I was your age, I lived on Pangea!" or "When I was your age, everybody was a poikilotherm!"... or even that more modern claim, "What do you know, kid? I got a pair of shoes older than you."

(Brownie points to anybody who can ID the source of that last quote, there! Think anybody'll get it?)

(Actually, do you think anybody'll get the other two? Whoooooo knoooooows. Ah, I love obscure humor.)

I guess my real question is why Milt, who is a New Yorker, is using the word y'all? Don't we Southerners have claim to that word? <evil pot-stirring grin>

Rod

Hey Carly,
Your interpretation is not going to do much for me "old",
No ya must be wrong Gal,

At least Milt got the apostrophe in the right place. Your average northerner can't even spell "y'all", much less use it correctly.

Electra
02-28-2000, 10:34 AM
How true, how true! So you get commended for your adeptness with the word, even though you aren't born to use it, Milt! ;-)

Y'all have a nice day now, y'hear?
