MY COMMENTS:
This is a still life set up of round cucumbers, a tomatoe and vase of wild oats. Painted on 140# Arches Bright White Rough paper.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I woul like a critique of the painting.

very nicely done, really like the shadow, but not strong shadow on the backdrop.

Don't understand the floor part, it almost bends back towards us but there is no hint of any break in the wall or backdrop. maybe if it were continued on the same path.

I really like this painting. The play of warm and cool colors is very pleasing to my eye. I think you've done an excellent job rendering the veggies especially. They grab my attention and don't leave me disappointed. I also like how most of the lines in the composition lead back to them.

The nebulous transition from the floor to the background works just fine for me. I'm not bothered by it.

The only thing that bothers me is the amount of space at the top of the compostion. The blade of oat grass at the top seems to need a little more breathing room.

I made a few tweaks in Photoshop to show what I was thinking:

Thank you drquinn and scratchmaster for your comments, I really appreciate them. Yes the added space at the top really helps. I wanted the wrinkles in the cloth to lead to the fruit and not emphasize the table top or back drop.
