This a recent Watercolour pencil drawing. I had some difficulty scanning it for some reason. The background has come out a bit blotchy. The paper is medium grain watercolour paper. The size is approx. 8 inches by 9 inches.

Thanks Darrell,Bill and Tammy, I found this one relaxing to do - the composition was simple yet effective. I do not find Watercolour pencil difficult to use - especially if you don't use too much water. After doing the drawing, just wet the brush and shake off the excess water and use the damp brush to move the pigment. It becomes more vibrant when it is wet. You can then go back over the drawing with the pencil and wet it again if you like or leave it dry. It is a matter of building up the colour and detail until you are happy with it.

Mayet, I like how you did the background and the birds in this one. What brand of watercolour pencils do you use? http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif
