This started as a painting of a child but the Cockatoo seems to have taken over. I love Cockatoos and have several dozen begging at the back door every morning http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hope you like it

Sculpi:
What do you mean you have several Cockateils begging at the back door? DO you mean wild ones?

Sculpi,
I like this painting a lot. I was minding a cockatoo for a while for a friend - he was very funny and quite noisy. Wild cockatoos used to come down and sit on his cage but when he said 'hello' they flew away in fright.

Yes, we have dozens of wild Cockatoos in Sydney.....I have to be careful how much food I put out or they take over...We also have Rosellas, lorikeets, corellas, Galahs, etc etc http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif A Cockatoo even stole my panties off the close line!!!!!!
Its really a special place

Sculpi, I like this painting. I especially like the textures of the child. I also like the cockatoo and his crest. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/eek.gif

Very well done sculpi...if it wasn't for the cockatoo I would say it was decidedly American Indian work..I like the light play on the face from the feather shadows too
