Hi Everyone
I made this painting as an exercise and really wasnt too sure of how to approach wool.
I struggled a bit and this is how it turned out.
I would appreciate your comments

You can be sure now, shearing season starts soon, you better hide that painting or some overzealous shearer might want to claim that prize fleece. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif

You have done an excellent job. I love the accurate change in texture from the ewes wonderful thick and luxurious wool, to the lambs barely there, you can almost see the skin nap. You know your sheep and your attention to detail is remarkable.

P. S. I look forward to your post, I learn a lot from just seeing what you have done.

Thank you Billie.....you are so sweet to say that. Im like a little kid with a new toy when I post my work here and it really helps me to progress.
I used to have a pet ewe that looked like this one so petting her helped to figure out the fur I guess
