Here's the painting framed, matted and about 15 minutes before I gave it to my neighbors:

<IMG SRC="http://www.wetcanvas.com/Critiques/lib/11-Feb-2001/casey_framed.jpg" border=0>

Unfortunately, I had to shoot this on the south side of my house, in the sun and on an angle, so you really can't see the fixes I made to Casey's outline http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/frown.gif The lines running through it are reflections from my deck.

Anyhow, the painting was VERY well received. There were no tears -- of which I am very glad as I have a hard enough time hearing compliments without emotions being involved as well http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/redface.gif -- but I could tell Ashely and Steve were very touched. We chatted for quite a while and I left with a light heart and a couple of pounds of venison.

Again, thanks to everyone for their help with this painting.

Roan, I like the way you have matted and framed this painting of Casey http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/eek.gif.Still like the expression captured in his face. I`m sure your neighbours were happy to recieve this from you. Great job http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/cool.gif

You did a great job on Casey Roan...I really like it framed. It really shows personality. I am madly teaching my partner to make frames out of self preservation because of the costs of frames in Australia.....
they are turning out pretty well!
Your neighbors are very luck

best
