Man, get out the tissue box. I wonder if there is any way we can help her as fellow artists?

hmmm ... apparently, there is a fund -

but this was back in 2007. Anyone know if this is still ongoing?

Doesn't our very own Jennylynn also do this? i believe that is who does them. There is a group that she works with of several artists who paint portraits of fallen soldiers. Such a wonderful thing to do. such a gift for those grieving families!

Yes, Kaziah does portraits for the soldiers families too. Our group, the Grateful Hearts Project, does them also mainly for familes of soldiers in Missouri and Kansas. Our website is www.gratefulheartsproject.com. I started our group, for those who don't know, because our son was blown up by an IED in June of 2004. He survived and is 100% disabled but he is doing well. We love doing the portraits for the families, which are donated completed free to the families including the art, framing and shipping. If you know of any family that would benefit from this service just have them contact us thru the website. We mainly work in Missouri and Kansas but will except requests from any family anywhere.
thanks,
Jennylynne
