Very nice linework! I'm glad you posted him larger so we could see him. I like the face. He looks playful. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif
What is your next project?

Very well done animal..I agree...do another primate.
When I draw I use another piece of clean scrap paper of the same type as I am drawing on to rest my hand on as I move around the drawing. It can also be used to test the tip of a freshly sharpened pencil before going to your sketch, but mostly it emininates the smudging I see in your sketches animal. You should try it...takes a bit of getting used to but you will have a cleaner looking drawing at the end result.

Thanks Darrell for your comments. I am going to try using paper under my hand when I`m drawing to get rid of the smudges. I am going to do some sort of primate again, maybe a chimpanzee, gorilla or another orangutan. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/eek.gif

Love this picture, and will look forward to you showing us some other primates..one of my favourite animals.

Take care

PS I tend to try and use the paper under my hand now, but can be a bit tricky with charcoal if you move it around. If all else fails, get out the kneadable putty eraser when you've finished and just tidy up the smudges.
