This is my first attempt at a wild animal. He is in graphite and i really enjoyed drawing him.

I'm no expert, so not really able to give you much useful advice, but I would love to see this in colour, have you tried watercolour pencils yet?

Very well drawn edith for your first wild animal. good use of values, and the shading is excellent...the hind legs are a bit disimilar but overall you have done a great job here...post more.

I like this a lot Edith. Especially the angular look of the head and mane. Reminds me of a primitive mask which, I think, fits.

Thanks for all the comments. No i haven't tried watercolour pencils on this but i do have them. I was hoping DD would advise about doing it (the lion) in acrylics. However, he(the lion) has found a home because my daughter wants him, so he will have a good Christmas. More comments welcome, and, DD i will try to correct the back leg before he leaves home. thanks everyone for your help.
