Arlene,
I meant, how do you achieve detail and how to use coloured pencils with drawing birds and animals

Animal,

The book "Keys to Painting Fur and Feathers" has a lot of instruction on using colored pencil. Dunno if you have this book. If you don't, you might want to take a look at it.

hugs!

Hi Roan,
Yes, I do have Keys to painting fur and Feathers, but I don`t know the names of my pencils(prismacolour scholar 60 set)so i can`t do any of the lessons unless I guess.

Ah, Monsieur Animal, there is a solution to this wee problem!

I had the same problem with my ContÚ pastel pencils. Here's what you do:

Call Jerry's at 1-954-427-6264 and ask them to send you their Pastel and Colored Pencil catalog. When you get it, turn to the Prismacolor section. You'll notice your pencils have a manufacturing number on each one. Match your pencil numbers with the numbers on the catalog and now you have the colors!

I made little stickers and stuck them on the sides of my pencils.

Hope this helps!
