I was looking through some old drawings and came across this cute fella. It was done about 25 years ago http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Lead pencil on cartridge paper.

Very nice drawing mayet I especially like the eyes and the overall expression. I love apes, they are one of my favorites to draw.
The hair is very well rendered also..I don't like to call if fur on a primate, seems odd..they are so much like us...smarter than some humans too.lol..especially politicians!
If this is 20 yrs. ago I want to see some more recent drawings.

I too love all of the ape family.
Once again, an expressive drawing, could be a long lost relative of Darrells Ape http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
Would love to see your recent work.
Best wishes

Darrell, Karen & Animal,
Thank you for your interest in my drawing. I have not done many animal drawings over the last year as I have been concentrating on drawings of the human figure. I have uploaded quite a few of these over the past few months in the drawing forum. I tend to jump about from one subject to another and one medium to another. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif So I am feeling inclined to do some more animal drawings soon. As soon as I produce anything worth while I will post it. I may have a couple more old ones I might post if I can find them. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
