Would you like to moderate this forum or would you like to nominate someone to moderate this forum? If so, please turn in names here. In about two weeks we should have lots of names on the list and then we can take a vote.
The duties of a moderator are simple. Just monitor the threads as they appear and when they would be better suited in another area, move them. If a thread is just not appropriate, lock it or ask that it be deleted. As moderator you do not have to be the expert in the field, you just have to have an interest in that area. WetCanvas needs your help. Please say you will help or nominate someone who you think would be a good moderator.

I nominate Animal for this forum. Can't think of anyone else that has more interest than animal has! Animal would be great!

Hello Phyllis. I've been out of town for nearly 6 weeks painting in Oregon and Newfoundland (but not necessarily wildlife). I nominate Seiler, as no doubt others have as well. He has a long professional career as a highly successful wildlife artist and should be able to handle this forum as well as the other he now moderates.

I think Larry would be great as moderator here ... that's my "vote".

Has Scott any plans for a separate forum for the younger (teens) crowd? If so, think Animal would be a great choice for moderator of that! He is active and interested http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Whomever elects to accept this position, as I've said in others....it doesn't require a great deal of work. IF there are problems, people will contact you via email.

The only time you need jump in and act is when a thread may need closing because someone as bullheaded as myself insists in causing trouble!

Being moderator also is not about being the expert in the field. Simply being level headed as concerns dealing with people, fairness, and wanting to see Wetcanvas remain the best art site online! 8^)

I second the nomination for bear claw. I think he and animal would be the ideal choices for this forum.
