greetings...
using colored pencils for detail...is one of my favorite mediums..
although oil painting is what i teach..and love as number one..am sure each one of us...doesnt just use one medium..reaching out and exploring is what we all do..
realism...is what makes my eyes dance..~smile~
using colored pencils for illustrating birds ..or any animal...enables me to get the absolute most controlled way of creating detail...
having figured out how to create a topic...now only need to find a way to show an image....so this one can share..
as with oil painting....have found there are key colors with colored pencils....
yellow ochre...burnt or raw umber..in oils is used to subdue or tame a color....so too with colored pencils....
and there is also a little trick to do with white.....or....a plain ole graphite pencil..
so..curious?.....~grin~
