Just a little something to show that I haven't fallen off the earth completely! This is an elf that I'm working on to x-post in the Fantasy forum. Getting the basic elements set. It's about 30-40% complete. Lots of good stuff showing up here in digital. Hope to be able to post some comments soon.

Awesome! The lights on her face look very nice. Did you use someone's picture for reference?

Thanks, Ceu. I hope spend some time on it this weekend.
'cat, thanks, its good to be posting again. Things have begun to settle down, so I got a bit of my free time back.
R.Masters, thanks. I got the look from some of my "how to" photography books, from the sections on back-lighting. The lighting a composite of a couple of the refs and suggestions. I see the finished face as having this look contrasted by the secondary light source; the light reflected up from the armor. My intent is to make light the true subject of this painting.

I like this, especially the colors, the gold looks valuable.

Thanks, Greg. I've decided to scuff it up a bit, so the armor might be a bit less valuable. I plan on finishing this one and the robot this weekend. I've got too many paintings started and not enough finsihed!

Maybe you and I should start a gallery of unfinished paintings, most everything I post here is still sittling around undone. even the ones I like.
I sent you a PM about a week ago, U git it?

Sorry, Greg. The last PM I could find from you was from early October. Send it again, please.
