View Full Version : Several things (might be a little long!)

I was asked to sit for an interview with a trainee phycologist so that they could see how his interviewing skills were. While I was there I mentioned I was an artist and discribed a painting that I knew had been purchased by the university and was on the ground somewhere.

After the interview the student left so that the teacher could talk to me and get feedback. Then he said "and one other thing, would you like to see your painting?"

It wasn't just purchased for the university to hang on it's walls - it was purchased for the Directory Generals office!

I gave him my card and he said "oh good, because we might be needing something from you soon." Well you know what that means - you never hear from them again.

Less then a week went by and someone phoned me! They want a painting for the School of Mental Health - one that they can feature in their brochures and publications as well as hang in the front lobby!

So I gave them two designs and they picked one of them and there is just one more review panel to get it past.... But the man who is running this has said that he feels like if they feel it's too expensive he might pay for it himself and donate it.

And tomorrow night I go to a gala at Parliment house where a painting of mine is in a show. What will I wear! I don't have the right shoes! :)
