Finally got the fractured canvas started and built another:)

This is a raw start of shapes and shades, but at the very least, a break
from the virgin work surface;) I plan on posting progress,......ben

Looks cool so far. Did you use wood as the surface or did you somehow stretch canvas onto those shapes?

Boy, you sure went to a lot of work to make those fractured canvases. The start is nice and can hardly wait to see your progress.

thx guys....it sure is labour intensive, but it peaked the intrest of at least one gallery so far...

I did but it didn't show any stretching/stapling... Just wondered how an odd shape like that was pulled tight.

Pretty much the same as rectangle and square with some temporary tacking
and restretching....acute angles are tricky, the material tends to bunch there.
It's experimental and evolving. Here's the finished BC flipped 90Degrees.
The segments are held together with strips of lexan, giving the piece a suspended look and feel.:thumbsup:
