I have been working on this pastel using Rembrandt and Richerson soft pastels and Wallis pastel paper. This is the first experience with the paper.

My inspiration for this work is a digital photograph I took outside my front door a few weeks ago as a storm was passing. I have a long way to go yet, but pretty happy with the direction it is going. I always use my fingers for blending but have noticed in some online videos that there are some rubber type blenders artists use. I can't seem to find them anywhere locally. Is there a good source online?

If you are talking about Colorshapers, Jerry's Artarama has them also.

Nice colors!

you can use old bits of rubber hose, cut up, or insulating pipe...that works fine, as do polystyrene peanuts! It's good to be inventive!

Lovely luminous sky
