Thanks Greg and Jana. I've been experimenting with lighting and composition...so much to learn. I'll probably spend some more time on this one, but it was getting that finished look so I wanted to post it.

Incredibly beautiful painting guy, superb flesh tones, the background and soft muted colours makes it so magical. I love how the light dapples on her skin, she looks a little sad but mystical at the same time. How big is the actual piece? Would love to see a larger version.

Cheers.

Guy, thanks for the link to the larger version. It's even more captivating when seen full screen! I also took the opportunity to look at the other two paintings on the site. You are terrific!!

Thanks Guy for the larger version, now the full beauty of the painting is revealed, so much detail is lost in the small version.

It's very beautiful work.

This is really nice, Guy. I like that background as much as the figure. I could actually use your character over at my place. I'm fighting the "weed wars" and losing badly!!!:D

What is striking to me is the colors and tones in the forest, receding behind her.

And another great image! The only thing that is distracting me in the image is the space (hole) between her feet???For some reason my is drawn there???

I am in awe. The background and the light concentration just to the left of the figure work so well....this is some work!

Hi Art! Lol, you dug up an old thread! Thanks, and I agree about the feet. Infact after looking back on it there's a lot more work to be done on this and a few others when I get the chance. :)

Thanks Bookworm. :)

I know it's the shadow of her arm on her leg but it's looking more like she is waering stockings and this part is the stocking top.
