View Full Version : Long hot soak (first post!)

I've been a member of these forums for a couple of years but have never actually posted so here goes... (gulp)
This is the first picture I've done since we had a wee boy 9 months ago, before that I had a few sales (not this style of picture), I'm trying to pick up the slack again and get back into the art - I was going to start a blog or something to try and keep me motivated but already have a blog that runs along side our business so not sure having another blog is such a good idea.
Anyway, the picture....Long hot soak, 11 x 16", Winsor newtons.
Thanks for looking.
ps. first post remember so go easy on me

Welcome to the pastel forum! No need to be nervous here - we are a friendly bunch! And based on this work - and the fact that you mention that you have sold your work in the past - should make it pretty clear that you have a lot of talent and need not worry about our opinions! Feet are one of the hardest things to paint, and you have captured them wonderfully with a real economy of pastel! Excellent!
