Thought I would post this here. It is a new painting I have just completed using a direct painting method from William Whitaker. Bill is a wonderful painter and I have just been fortunate enough to study with him for three weeks. He is teaching a class at the Scottsdale Artists School at the end of March, 2003. You can check him out at www.williamwhitaker.com, and the class at www.scottsdaleartschool.org.
This is for a Sci-Fi Convention coming up in Denver where I am the artist guest and my wife is the author guest.

Thanks for the kind words folks. I just discovered this forum a while ago - it's neat to have a specific forum for this kind of work.
The painting is in oils and it is 12x15 inches.

The detail and perspective in this is outstanding. I have been working scifi conventions for over 20 years, and have seen a lot of wonderful work, but this makes me feel as if I could walk into it.
