MY COMMENTS:
This is the roughing in of a landscape of a trail road in a pasture.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
My question is about composition and balance. There will be wildflowers (mostly sunflowers) in the foreground, but not there yet. At this point, want to make sure I have a pleasing start before moving on.

The balance and lay of the land is quite beautiful. I am wondering where your focal point will be. Even though there is an object in two of the 'hot spots' they will not necessarily be the focal point unless painted that way... Looking forward to seeing this!

Planning on wild sunflowers as the focal point starting small to the right of the small post with a larger plant just to the left of the tallest post - but not quite as tall, then following the fence line to the left edge. What do you think? The reference photo I'm using shows only prairie grasses.

Sounds good...will the sunflowers be in the field across the road? being wild they would sow themselves indiscriminatly across the area. If that is the case will the fence post area stand out sufficiently from its similar surroundings?

Go for it!
