I like it. Innovative art.

I always enjoy seeing your art, enjoying the creativity and glimpses into another way of viewing.
I think I would like this one better without the ipod lettering.

For me the background on the right side of the painting is the strongest part. The pod and the face look too washed out for me. It is like looking at a good painting on the right, then an amaturish painting for the rest of it. I think it has mostly to do with the contrast for me. Bold shadows and defining lines and shapes.

I find it rather creepy, it reminds me of an old (I do mean old) science fiction movie where people were being replaced by look alike automatons being grown in alien pods...doesn't mean I don't like it, I too applaud your ability to register the world in a somewhat quirky way...quirky is good. I think the title being displayed is a good idea but in a more re-find way. Perhaps give us a squiggly tendrall off the top of the pod down to your current placement of text and replace the print with a cursive script in keeping with the squiggly?

very clever and cool! love it.******sandy
Thanks Guys and Gals,
i totally suck at doing lettering so agree the iPod part leaves a little something to be desired ... i'll have another go at her and bump up the contrast/shadows, see where that goes ... she is creepy so she'll probably just end up in the creepy pile anyway ... unless i close that eye  then it might get peacefully sale-able.
thanks again for looking and sharing your thoughts, for the next couple days she can just stare at me, no time to paint 'till thursday i think
party on :)

I think bumping up the shadows a little will help unify the piece.
La, your work is always so unique I never know whats going to pop up on the screen when I open your threads, and you never disappoint! I love the concept of this one, I would agree that the letters could be re-worked a bit as right now they seem to be holding onto my eye.
Look forward to seeing more!
