powerful. not sure the uneven brushwork in the background is as effective as it could be.

the implications are staggering...

Wow, now here's some art. Fantastic job not only on the arms but on the foreground cloud. Agree that the background needs more layers to make it fit with the textural treatment of the overall painting. Also the elbow of the rightmost arm looks a bit off to me but these are small nits in a magnificent work.

Staggering indeed. I assume this is about the struggle for comparitively scarce resources. I understand that China who has the world's greatest amount of rare earth metals essential for todays electronics industry in Inner Mongolia is pulling in the supply.

The arms & hands are amazing; I agree about the background, though!

the only scarce resource this world has is sense and morality... and the ability to look ahead.

and yup, that's what it's about. people harming each other to get to the top... even though that activity makes it to where there's nothing but a pit.

well, from the pits of despair ... the corporate struggle to find one's way to their level of incompetence ... gotta love the race of humans lol

it's definitely stellar work ... i do like the uneven background, think it adds to the effect ... not so sure about the curly elbow, distracts a bit ... also, might be picky but if the point is clawing one's way to the top via others, i'd like a bit more hang/drag to the claws in skin area 'cause it's not obvious if it's a pair of hands (self mutilation) or another's hand clawing a competitor, doesn't seem to be enough downward pull/resistance for that ... my interp anyway

Funny how individually we all see something else. Most saw the natural, I did the spiritual....Whatever the issues are, it certainly conveys a powerful message. And I like no. 1.

The elbow and background stood out to me as well. However I really like the image.

It's very scary...dark times...desperate times...

Shocking and beautiful! WOW! Something about the background bothers, maybe strokes are all looking pulled down?
