This is beautiful. It might benefit from a bit more saturation of color and darker value in the foreground. Also the sky could be just a bit lighter in value. These things will set it up for a sense of distance or depth. The central tree might be done just a bit, ever so softly...softer in contrasts. It is of course possible that in the photo/download process you lost color and value. It is a very beautiful painting.

OH... one other point: If you used salt for texture in the evergreen on the foreground left, it works to full effect only if sprinkled into a dark value on a light background and just when the paint is not soupy but still shiny and damp...a bit tricky but easily mastered.

Love these memories! I like your palette. Would like to see a light snow or a gust of snow blowing around coming in from the right. Some snow in the crevices of the tree on the right. And more shadowing in the trees. Made some light changes here:

I would also add a small bit of shading to the Birch's upper main branches. I darkened the 2 foreground trees and added a bit of red to the bare tree.
