Oh my goodness Kathleen. This has to be one of my favorite paintings of yours and a place I wish I was sitting at right now. Nice depth and a very believable scene. Is this close to your home? Wonderful work.............Lenore

very nice! Painting the water in with vertical strokes and then adding the horizontal strokes with restraint will give it a visual sense of depth...especially under the tree and in foreground...this is of course for standing water not running water.

This is quite nice, especially for a PA. What a lovely spot to paint from and you have captured the essence of it.

Thank you all. Lenore I'm about a 15 minute ride from the river. The National Park is a lovely refuge. It's all along the river between Cleveland and Akron.

Yep, a beauty!

Maybe would have put some dark on the inner round of the tree trunk and in the foliage to give the tree some volume -- especially given the back lighting.
