ok those of you who saw my other digital stuff before.. this is the latest in my backgrounds for the school play. its really simple but I kind of liked the way it came out! :) any opinions? oh and the gradients got kind of harsher when I made it a jpeg.. so ignore that.

thanks! :D its supposed to be after the forest is destroyed or something.. supposed to be solemn and stuff. is that how it looks? any suggestions on how to make it sadder would be greatly appreciated!

You may try to do more with the leaves...if this is a forest after destruction then some leaves should have some type of destruction to them...

:o Well, Jules....I'm no expert on making sad leaves, but Nope! ....it doesn't look like sad & sombre leaves to me.:( nor do they look like they've been through any trauma.
Perhaps some crispy burnt edges? .....some missing torn pieces?
I don't want this to sound harsh....cuz I don't mean it that way. Sometimes softness can be lost in simple words.
Would like to see any changes you come up with on this.

You know I gotta like the black & white, how it comes & goes in different places. It all blends together nicely. :)

oh yeah! torn leaves! wow thats what I was looking for.. lol. funny how you KNOW something is wrong with it and it could be the most obvious thing! thanks!

ok I know I didnt spend that much time experimenting.. but I tried it and it just doesnt look right with torn, singed leaves either! :( it just kind of took away the gracefulness of the whole thing. which yeah I know a burnt forest isnt very graceful but I guess thats what I liked about the piece. hmm.. oh well! guess it will just have to be a graceful forest fire. lol thanks anyway!
