I've been using this journal for daily entries. This page is has notes from a Skip Lawrence workshop.

I will illustrate something that happened during the week.

Great pages, Nancy! These are wild. They remind me of some artists I knew in Lawrence, Kansas, the same group that held the life drawing sessions. Wonderful balance and color. Love the notes around the painting on the first one, that's so cool framing it with its notes. Both of them share that great layout.

Thanks, Robert and I've been framing the pages lately and numbering.

Simply beautiful. Pictures and notes, the best of both worlds.

Great start to your Sketchbook. I like the way you've organised your sketches on page 2. Very effective.

PAGE 2: of the journal, with some pen and ink, watercolor, and ephemera. I have been revisiting these journals getting ideas for a 3 day art journal workshop I'll be teaching in July.

Excellent page. I really like the watercolors. Your Quaker Oats quaker looks great and the fruits are lush.

I like the way you design your pages - an art in itself.

Nancy, you're pages are so lively and visually interesting! I LOVE them. I really like the idea of capturing snippets of a week on one page. And I also really like the way you combine ink sketches / doodles with small painted images. These pages are all great. Hope we get to see more!!!

Nancy, do you visualise how you want the page to look, or just "doodle" wherever it fits?! It all works so well, it is cool to seek out each little square and your colours are so confident - love it!
