Just finished this one and had the thumbs up from the client already - yay! Seemed to take an age to do but in reality was around 9 days (inbetween doing my other job, etc). Would love feedback and CC always welcome :-)

This is beautifully done - perfect texture & softness to the fur & wonderful intensity achieved in the eyes. I see no room for improvement!

I can almost see him twitch. Hard to get that sense of life in such realism. Great job!

Thanks loads everyone :-)
Pattilou - glad I got that alertness across - her "mum" was holding her favourite ball to get her attention whilst her "dad" took the photo I worked from. She is an eldery gsd battling on through kidney disease and I am so pleased and hugely relieved (lol) that the clients are thrilled with the portrait. The fuir really did give me a hard time so really chuffed with all the positive feedback. Looking at it with my ever critical eye, there are things which could be improved upon / changed but I got to the point where I had to stop because I was fearful of over working it all and spoiling it as a result. Its all a learning curve ;-)
