The wonderful details in the barn make it really pop out from the landscape surrounding it. Very nice contrast. I like the colors you've used in the field, reminds me a field of wildflowers. Pretty!

I love the joyful riot of colour you have going here, Lisa.

You said you welcome C&C, so I would just offer a suggestion as to something I might do if this lovely picture were mine, and that is soften the edges of the greenery where it touches the sky, to avoid a harsh division.

Thanks for showing!

Thank you Pat. E-J, you are so right! Sometimes it definitely takes another set of eyes.

this has such a clean feel to it....no muddying of colours at all, gives me the impression of morning time before the atmospheric haze has built up....really nice

This is a really great piece. The barns are perfect, the foreground colors are unique and recede well (and beautiful, especially), great sky and atmospheric perspective. The only thing I'd change, as it was brought up before, is blending the trees into the background a little. Right now, they look a little like a collage piece pasted to the sky; but that shouldn't be a difficult change and the rest of the piece is A+ work.

Thank you so much Stee and Alan. Feedback from this forum has been a huge help for me. I'll post the revised when it's done- hopefully the one I'm working on now will also be done-

Wonderful painting. Barn really leaps out at you.

The only small thing that bothers me just a bit is the road/trail. Instead of serving as an element to lead the eye toward the focus of the painting and keep the viewer engaged, it leads toward the edge of the painting away from the buildings and pulls me away from where the focus seems to be.

Just my way of reading it and offered from whatever use you might find it. I really like the painting, though!

I like too much this oil pastel painting. The barn certainly pops out from the screen. Good!
