Plaine Aire season has started, and we have made a stout resolution to paint out every sunday morning. That makes us very much the Sunday Morning painters.
We opened the season by heading downtown Chicago, and painting the Bean.
This is 8x10 Acryllic on board.

Love the colours in those background buildings. Also like the figures around 'the bean': I am sure you have painted 'the bean' perfectly but I can't for the life of me work out what it is supposed to be - a kiosk?? a work of art?? Please explain to the uniformed !!! Great painting.

Agree with all the above , the looser style of the background buildings enhances the reflections and the figures add a great finish to the overal image.

I am attaching the photo I took when painting the bean. It is difficult to imagine what the bean is if you have never seen it. It's a modern sculpture, highly reflective and a lot of fun. It is in Millenium park downtown Chicago.

That would make us the Sunday Morning Power Painters. I like that!
