Hello everyone, you have all done excellent work from these photo's and inspired me to do my first WDE, and its finished on time :lol: .
Its 11 X 7.5 using Oil pastels on watercolor paper.

Wow Paul! So THAT's what oil pastels are supposed to look like! :lol: :lol: :lol: I'm just starting to play around with them and struggling a bit, but yours turned out beautifully. Welcome to WDE. I agree with he others that it IS addictive, but what an amazing addiction to have!

Beautiful painting. Love your depth of color in the foreground grasses and the lighthouse there, but not really too strong a color. Good crop. Great sky.
You know your way around oil pastels. Excellent. Oh, and Welcome to WDE.

EP.. I gave the paper a coat of white Gesso before I started with the op's.

Paul, Opening this was a breath of salty sea air! Very fresh and airy. Definitely NOT what my attempts at OP's looks like. Nice variety of values and colors in the grasses. Just enough detail in the lighthouse to define it without bogging down in details. Lovely!
