Lake of Trees

So, I finally was able to set up a paint date with my mom (butterflies aloft). I know it has been awhile. I must say, it was quite relaxing.
So for this piece I wanted to try out the Watercolor Pencils my mother got for Christmas. (Yeah, it's been that long since we both painted!). For those of you, if any, that don't know about the watercolor pencils, what you do is... Sketch with the pencils first, then use a wet paint brush to blend. I had a lot of fun with it.
I used a 9"x12" watercolor, cold press sheet. I spent 2 hours on this piece.
The first image is the final piece. The second piece shows the pencil sketch, with a section that has been blended with water to show the difference.
