Here is another excercise from college - had to paint something from around the house. Looking through my house I learnt quickly how uninteresting everything is. So finally I went for the bedsheets.

What a great exercise they had for you and you picked a great subject. Amazing how simple crumpled sheets can be so interesting.Your lights and shadows are really well done here and nice soft colors. How big is this? would be awesome on a large support.

Those shadows/wrinkles are great! I love how you've taken an ordinary sight and turned it into something beautiful!

Nice selection! There's something very sensuous about this!

It turned out to be a really nice painting. When I don't make my bed, I wish it looked that good.

Wonderful, I love it! What size is it? I think it would look awesome as a large painting.

See ..... I knew there was yet another excuse for me to borrow for NEVER getting around to make my bed (except when company comes) .......:D
I am sort of tired tonite and thought your painting was the reference photo! This is a great painting and esp the shadows of the headboard. ...

Beautiful Naomi! Congratulations. Great work on the wrinkles in the fabric and the headboard with shadows. Really pulls the headboard forward and off the wall.

Thanks everyone. I feel so loved ;)
This is only smallish, 12 in x 12 in.
My first attempt at fabric folds. They're surprising to paint, you just do each as a shape of it's own and stand back and suddenly, it's SHEETS! Then I just added more highlights for extra pizzaz!
Thanks all :)
