Here's a portrait I just finished of my husband it is 8.5 by 9.5 inches and done with acrylics. He liked it.

Would love your comments and or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Wonderful painting Purple! I'm wondering if maybe just a touch more detail (very little) on the eye that is in shadow. What do you think?

Melodie, I think you're probably right and thanks for pointing it out.

Fantastic Purple. You achieved an almost pastel- like finish on the shirt and even in a few other areas. Very cool! Do you use a dry brush technique for that? Great painting!

Purple. You are doing so well and this is no exception. Good advice re the eye. I do have one tiny problem with this. The hand seems very small. Or does your hubby have particularly small hands?? I love that background against the blue shirt.

Thanks Artchrispy for the nice comments and not I didn't use a dry brush technique but it does look like it though. Thanks again.

Chammi thanks for our welcome comments on my painting and to answer the question of the hand, his hand is not small but the fingers were kind of curled under in the shady part. Thanks too for telling about the eye, I'll fix it soon as I get ready to frame it. Again, a big thanks.
