Well I'm sticking with these acrylics .......... I think this one is my 4th using them. It is Bluebell season here and woodlands throughout the UK are getting a beautiful covering of blue and white blooms. Now I go for a walk with the dogs in a local beauty spot, Beacon Fell, which is a large wooded area ............ but no bluebells .............. hence the title ...........

If Beacon Fell Had Bluebells

This is Acrylic on board and used a variety of brands of paint. It was my home town exhibition this week and I entered this painting along with 2 watercolours, the show wasn't judged this year and yesterday went to pick them up and found that this one and one of the watercolour had sold .............  I was chuffed ..........

I've decided I don't like judged shows. Only ONE person has to like a piece for it to be a winner. Lucky person who got this lovely painting of lovely woods. I like your wishful addition of bluebells. I want to take a walk there.

I was chuffed

Chuffed? For the benefit of we Yanks, is that a good thing or a bad thing? :)

Congrats on a good painting and a sale.

I'd be chuffed too Kev, (meaning 'very pleased' for non Brits) if I had painted this. For all it's beauty, it's the stone wall that I like the most.

Elinor, thanks the whole area is beautiful no matter what time of year ,,,,,,,,,, I just wish it had bluebells ...

Dayle, yes I think it worked better this year without the juries, the venue was much nicer too.

Rick, as others have pointed out Chuffed is a happy place to be .......... I don't know why or where it came from but around here we say "Chuffed to little mint balls" I know sounds daft will have to google it now and see what it says.

Margaret, I thought long and hard about the wall, but the fell is full of them so it had to go in .... I tried to subdue it a little though.

Lulu, I don't think we will have the time for this walk, and anyway we will be in the Lakes where there are even more magnificent walks and view.

Debee, Dan, Sharon and laf thanks for looking and your comments .......
