This was one of those paintings that seemed to take forever to do, the progressions were soooooooo slow I thought I would never finish it.

C & C welcomed

Thank you very much everyone! I think it will be a long time before I do a hydrangea again lol. By the way the vase is pomegranate shaped for anyone who is wondering why it looks so wonky.

Beautiful color harmony, a real smphony of color! I echo all the comments about your handling of the glass and its reflections - truly a lovely painting worth working to its final stage.

Melodie you handled the glass wonderfully and the flowers are really well rendered. You've captured that soft petal quality. My only crit....and it's a tiny one....based on the strong light source from the right perhaps the shadow falling on the table top nearest to the vase should be a little deeper?

Beautiful work, you should be very proud of this one!

Thanks Debbie, I think it also needs to be grounded just a bit more so I will also increase the shadow as well.

Hi Bird! thanks for stopping in and commenting!

Excellent stuff ............

Good point from Debbie.

I am working on some flowers at the moment and it is taking an age, just can't get the petals right .......... You managed such a good fresh look to the flowers.

Kev the hardest part for me on this one was the petals, I really struggled with them, so keep at it and you will eventually get them right.
