Just posted this question in the Watercolor forum, and realized it may have been better suited here?

Can anyone advise where I might find a "comprehensive" list of watercolor colors and their characteristics (transparent/opaque, warm/cool, pure/tertiary, etc.)?

thanks!

Jessica

Bruce, the guy who writes all the great stuff on handprints checks in at the CJAS website. His handle is drollere. It is well worth the time to cruise through the Topic Tree under Watercolor and color theory to read his past posts. The man is an absolutle walking authority on color, pigment and the universe!

Cornell Japanese Animation Society?
Canadian Journal of Animal Science?
Columbia Journal of American Studies?
Cretinous Jock Appreciation Society?

Either Mr. Handprint is more well-rounded than I thought, or I have no idea either....

Please point us to a link!

HOLD ON... is it Cheap Joe's Art Stuff discussion board?

BTW: as Mr. Handprint points out, if you're looking for books on the subject, Hilary Page publishes a Guide to Watercolor paints, which she updates on a website as well (but you have to buy the book)
