I've never been in this forum before mainly because I don't usually paint what would be called inspirational art. However, I believe my newest piece fits into that category so I thought that I would show it here as well.
The story behind this piece is as follows: You may not believe it, but I saw this last year. My husband, Barry, and I were driving home from Lewisburg and I pointed and said look at that cloud! Barry looked and instantly saw it and we both said at the same time "a doorway to heaven". I looked at the clock on the dash and it was 4:51. I don't know why I looked at the time, I just did. The next day almost at the exact same moment, the doctor was telling us that my Dad had passed away.
I forgot all about seeing this image till ten days later while having a conversation with my Mom. When I remembered it, I instantly felt better. Thus the name, "Consolation". I think that Barry was supposed to see it also because four months later he would lose his own Dad.
The painting means a lot to both of us.....
