View Full Version : WDE March 12 bathing beauties photomanip w/ color

My first attempt to add color where there is none, without explicitly adding color with a paint tool or fill. Not too successful. I used random noise, enhanced the color then cut back. Ended up with a single color added, but the color does not really add anything artistically to the original image. Opinions?

That's cool; gives it even more of a vintage look..... nostalgic.

I rather like the additon of the single colour - nicely subtle, 3-toned work!

Welcome to the WDEs - hope you stay :D

The digis can be just a frustrating as hand painting, can't they?

The digis can be just a frustrating as hand painting, can't they?Well, I specifically avoid doing brush work or other hand work on these contest pictures, except for fixing up the starting photo. I try to achieve all the "artistic" effects with , layering manipulated copies and using odd combinations of filters and macros I've made up or bought. It's a style but it doesn't always work out in 2 hours, and you have less control. I most likely could not do this exact effect again because I don't keep track of the many steps I take, I prefer each one to be unique.
