This is a very alive painting. Love those orange bits, they contribute
a great deal to the success of the painting - congrats. Oil or acrylic?
The French title is perfect for it.

Hi Linda - Love your sunflowers! I was sure hoping to hear that your little one arrived yesterday on my birthday! Soon, I hope.

Ah, what a lovely name Maélie is! (Probably the word you're searching for is 'induce'--they will induce labor. Yes?)

And the sunflowers are so cheerful and lovely. I agree with John, the oranges make it even more compelling. It's delightful, Linda.

Oh, and a slightly belated happy birthday, Betty. :D

Linda, the shapes in this work together, and you've focused in on the subject. It's one of my favorites of yours!

One of my favourite subjects for picture making, I'm a big fan of Van Gogh sunflowers and the photographs of Paul Caponigro. I've been working up to attempting them myself but will probably put that plan off having seen this. It works really well, love those touches of red that make the foreground pop.

lovely Linda, I like the purples as they really kick start the flowers.

Very beautiful Linda. It is the first time I have seen the French word for sunflowers... very descriptive. I like this one a lot.

Hi Linda,
Very very nice work! Sunflowers are such cool plants to paint. I've only done one of them but it sold the first time I showed it. That barn in the background looks very cool and makes a nice backdrop for this one...very nice Linda.
