First I did a quick black and white of the dog. It turned out ok, but not as good as I would have liked. 3x4 inches

Next I did a reduction print of the leaves. Some of you were asking about the process, so I took pictures of the many steps. This is about 4x7 inches
First the drawing on the block

I removed a little to print white, then I ran the first colors, a blend of green and red

after creating a run of about 15, I then clean the block and begin cutting away at the areas I want to remain the red color. I ran another blend of pink and light green. After completing the 15, I return to cutting the block.

here you can see what I cut away and the next photo is what the print looks like at this point

after running all the prints, I cut again the areas I want to remain green
This is the cutting and the next is the print.

The last cut leaves the dark green and I will be inking black. Here is the cut.

and the final print looks like this! It lI have about 15 or so that look similar. Unfortunately you cant see all the subtle changes in the color of the leaves. They look pretty much all red here.
I hope you all understood the process. It took me pretty much the entire day to complete.

Colleen, Love your print of the dog.

Even better was your process in block cutting and printing. Your final result is beautiful. My monitor shows some of the variations in the red. Just think, one image with 15 copies to sell, trade or give as gifts to friends and family. A good days work.

Thanks to all of you and your comments! I enjoy the print making process very much, it is a lot of work and you destroy the block while creating the reduction print.
