MY COMMENTS:
I painted this from a photograph my husband took last winter on a very cold, wet and miserable day. Our small city floods regularly and I wanted to portray it in paint at some time. Fortunately I didn't have to sit outside and paint! This bridge is normally at least 20 feet above the usual river level, for an idea of the flood levels.

Also posted in watercolour and landscape forum, breaking rules again?

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Anything?

Beautiful work on that sky! It looks very rainy and cold. I think you did a wonderful job of conveying the atmosphere of that day!

Thank you giniaad. I wouldn't like to walk in this! When this sort of flooding occurs, the city is virtually cut in 2, and often there's only one way across the river, which is a disused railway line.
