Here I am early this week. Yeah..... Did this in batik. WC and wax on rice paper of some sort. I thought I had keep the name of this paper but can't find it. It tore in a couple palces but was not too bad to work with. The yellow I used in the batiking at the end shows up much more on here than in the original picture. Why I do not know. Anyway am glad to be back to painting and hopeful I can get the one from last week done tomorrow. http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/19-Feb-2010/132729-02-19-2010_04;50;52PM.JPG

Mary - this is beautiful, love it in batik. Funny how your yellow shows up more and mine hardly shows up at all. I've tried adjusting but ...

This has produced an unusual and attractive image. The effect is something between an old photo and a stained glass window! It works very well with this subject.

Mary this is fabulous! The style goes so well with that very old building.

I know it is in Norway but it reminds me of some of the buildings here in my shire that were once white and now have yellowing and cracks with age. It makes them look extremely realistic and evocative.

I always thought Batik was doen on cloth so you have educated me. This is great!
