MY COMMENTS:
This is another one of my earlier works. I love the old ships, the Morgan,the Wanderer, ect.I took private lessons from an old master named Louis Sylvia.He is listed in the who's,who book of artists. He actually sailed on some of the old whalers. He has since passed away. But what he has taught me I cannot put in words.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I would like to know if by looking at this piece if it looks like the colors I used gives the viewer a feeling that the sun is about to go down and darkness is not far away.

and maybe a longing for another time.

Your colors look right-on for what you want, but the placement of the sun seems high for that time of day.

Looks like dusk but agree with sun too high for time of day. If it was just lighting the sky without the circle it would work I think. Nice tall ships!
