I was peeping into the florals forum to check out the monthly project and while I was working on the project, I fell in love with flowers all over again and had to do some more :-) These are all done with the palette knife, heavily textured and finally some tweaks done with a brush. The background was first done with the brush though.

All the references are from the RIL. Each painting is 5 * 7 inches, done on hardboard on a black surface. Your feedback is welcome :)

Great fluidity in these. They flow beautifully and seem almost to sway in the wind.

These exude joy Nithya and seem much larger than 5x7!
Love all the 'frills' and life.

Maybe you should try a bigger size now? ;) :)

Thank you Howard, Patti, Elaine, Gayle, Michelle and Maureen.

A favorite flower for me too Patti, was too apprehensive about trying them, then just thought I should give it a go.

A lot more of Spring happening with a lot of tulips too Elaine, I am unable to show them coz of the plant parade :D

Yeah Maureen time for a big one definitely :) Will try a 12 * 16 next I guess! thank you :)

These are all beautiful. You make them look so delicate and papery thin as they are in real life. Wonderful!

Thank you so much Linn, Chammi, Ruthie and Susan!

@Ruthie, I am thrilled with your comment that they look delicate. That was *exactly* my fear for not doing flowers at all, that my style is a little too strong to render them delicately. If they do look so then I am very happy :)
