20x16 inches on canvas

I tend to work in oils more than acrylics but this one is all acrylic with some collage - including some gold tissue paper and a few touches of metallic copper acrylic, plus charcoal.

details of the marks

I'm planning a series of these for a upcoming exhibition. This one was done in a deliberately limited palette - I'm not sure whether to do the next one the same way, though maybe different colours in a limited palete - or use natural colour ..... the jury is out! what do you think? c&c welcome

If you are interested you can see the stages of development and more close ups on my blog and our group blog Watermarks (link in the sidebar)

Really like the handling of the trees. IMHO, the limited palette works for you and for me. Liked your blog set up as well. Good going Vivien.

Very nice, beautifully muted color pallette, it really sets the mood for the piece.
