Just a quick painting done for a different websites challenge. This is from Maui and it was such a pleasure to paint a non-winter landscape! Warm instead of cold, very nice for a change. This is on 9x12 canvas sheet. Hope if makes you feel as good as it did me! - Nan

Thank you Susan & Rudi, glad you liked it.

Rudi - I use an assortment of paints. Buying a new tube of paint is sort of a treat for me). I like Liquitex (both hard & soft varieties). Also Grumbacher Academy and Winsor & Newton Galleria. I am planning to try either Interactives or Golden Opens one of these days. Haven't bought any yet, I have to wait until I have a little extra money.

The trees and water are painted beautifully Nancie! The sky could be a bit lighter at the horizon but you did a wonderful job!

Again thank you everyone for your comments. We had an awful day here in the northeast, wind & rain. Fortunately it wasn't cold, but it will be again tomorrow. This little landscape just makes me smile as I remember a warm sun on my face and a warm breeze blowing through my hair. Something to look forward to!

Lillian - thanks for that feedback. I spotted the mistake at the horizon line only after I had finished it. I may go back & address it, but since the paints are dry I'm afraid it won't blend as I would want it. Seems every painting has at least 1 thing I always say I'm going to go back & fix. LOL - guess this will keep me consistent!

Beautiful Nancy, could almost be the Mangrove trees along the east coast of Queensland :)
