I tried to consider and study all your kind suggestions (yours as well Bob, thank you), and came up with this new revised version:

Linda
this is really lovely, just a few tweaks make such a difference. It's always so helpful to get other eyes to look as well, we get too bogged down sometimes in our own work.
Well done.
Jane.

Beautiful painting, Linda! Lovely colours and great subject. I would love to be standing on that cliff right now, in the sunshine, rather than stuck in all this snow we've been having!

Wow, the light reads a lot better this time Linda! And your changes to the sea and sky make it a much more powerful painting. Wonderful job!

Hi Linda I've put the two versions next to each other and it seems to me some of the clouds can take a little more white and the far end of the cliff can be blured a bit or less precise like in the first version

Linda..........I agree with Robert. The cliff line turns right so you shouldn't see all of that cliff shadow.

Hi Linda,
The distance in this one works much better with your changes. I love that soft horizon line you've got going. The added stronger contrasting shadow along the hat also promotes the bright sunlight. Very nice...reminds me of the bluffs near the lighthouse on Mayne Island near Vancouver Island.

Lovely texture all over. The light touches of dry paint on the cliff, sea & clothes are very effective.

Simply beautiful, you paint your figures just like Renoir. The sea is beautiful too. You must be delighted with the final painting.
