 Hi all! In between cooking and company, I've managed to get a couple done. First one is a on 9" x 12" bristol board, mixed media, pencil, ink, watercolor...all materials I am NOT that familiar with. I think it needs "something" more but I'm not sure what. I've got more than a couple of hours into it - at LEAST twice that I'd guess. These gals reminded me of an old song from the 60s...:music: such are the dreams of the everyday housewife, you see every where any time of the day...an everyday housewife who gave up the good life for me.:music: Anybody else remember that song?

This other one was just to use up the watercolor from the first one. About 1 1/2 hours. Just about ruined it with ink, tried to cover it up with blue watercolor, finally just left it alone. I think I need more practice with this stuff, lol! Watercolor paper, 9" x 12".

I love the flowers in pots. The blues add depth to the greens and the delicate pink is just right. Housewives well done.

I like both of these. I think the picture of the two ladies would more likely go back to the 30's. I have some of my mom about that time. Both are really good.

 Thanks so much Kurlie, Sandra, Fred, Heather, Sho, Carol, Dewi, EP, Jamila, T.T., Linn, Crowie, Colleen, Paula, Beth, Robert, Mary and BlueFrog for the kind and encouraging comments! I'm especially glad that so many thought the blue worked fine on the flower pot painting. I'm still fussing with it though, off and on. Mary, thanks for helping me with the ballpark date on the photo of the two housewives!

I'm almost done with my challenge piece. Will post when it's light enough to take a picture of it! :D

I like the ladies Elizabeth but find the w.c of your garden (which you're not too happy with) utterly charming!
Frame it and hang it!
